Meals on Wheels in Barron and Rusk Counties

Qualified homebound individuals age 60 and better can get the Senior Dining meal delivered right to their door with a smile and a wellness check. Available in both counties on a short-term and long-term basis to help you to stay independent. 

Contact your local ADRC  to see if you qualify.

Recommended donation varies-check with your local ADRC office. No eligible participant will be denied a meal based on ability to contribute to the cost of the meal.

The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Barron and Rusk Counties remains committed to ensuring the safety of our customers, volunteers, and staff. 

Barron County: Operating Meals on Wheels and Dining Sites Monday-Friday (except holidays) and Dining @ Five, Soup and Salad Bar, and Breakfast on select days. Check our calendar to find the dates for each site.

It is possible we may not be able to get certain food items from our vendors so the menu is always subject to change.

Barron County Dining Information

Registration, Reservations and Costs 

Registered customers can order lunch from any location by calling at least 24 hours ahead. 

Registration forms are required for all new diners and should be completed the first time you participate in the program. These can be filled out at the site or you can print out this form and turn it in when you arrive. 

Reservations are required. To make a reservation call the dining site you plan to attend, at least 24 hours in advance. 

For those 60 and older: suggested contribution: $8.00 (Any amount will be gratefully accepted. Quest card or FoodShare can be used for a meal donation)

Those under 60: $15.00 cost

Rusk County Dining Information

All diners must preregister with Kathy at 715-532-2176 at least 24 hours before the meal.

Locations

Bruce: Monday– Friday; meal time is 11:00 a.m.

Ladysmith: Monday– Friday; meal time is 11:30 a.m.

Hawkins: Monday-Friday; meal time is 11:30 a.m.

Sheldon: Monday- Thursday; Lunch 11:30 a.m. In addition, breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m.- 9:00 a.m. on the third Friday of every month.

Dining @ 5

Ladysmith:  Second Thursday of the month at 5 pm. (Except for August) Call Kay Stewart for reservations at 715-532-2176 at least 48 hours ahead.  

(Dining @ 5 suggested donation for those 60 and older is $5.00. Those under 60: $9.21.)
