SeniorCare Waiver Renewal Application

The state Department of Health Services (DHS) is preparing to submit a waiver renewal application to continue the SeniorCare program through December 31, 2018.  The Department’s draft of the SeniorCare waiver renewal application can be found on the SeniorCare Waiver website.

DHS would like to hear from you about the SeniorCare Program and/or about the draft of the waiver renewal application. You can share your comments here. Public comments accepted until June 22, 2015.

On May 21, 2015 the Joint Finance Committee (JFC), as part of an omnibus motion, voted to delete the Governor’s proposal and fully restore funding for SeniorCare in the 2015-2017 State Budget and to keep the program operating as it is currently.  The SeniorCare budget proposal still has to work its way through the remainder of the budget process.  If you have a legislator on the JFC, remember to thank them for their support.  If your legislator is not on the JFC, ask for their support to keep SeniorCare operating as it is today when the proposal comes before them.  Click here to see the Wisconsin Aging Advocacy Network’s (WAAN) Senior Care Release – Feb. 2015.
